I swear sometimes I feel like I’ve been pregnant for 100 years and sometimes it feels like I just found out yesterday…Approaching that halfway mark!!
(Don’t let the baggy shirt construe your view of the bump…I had to take this one myself and I couldn’t get a very good angle, but rest assured, the bump is popped out nicely!)
How far along? 17 weeks today
Baby’s size? Sweet Potato (5.5in, 5oz, still so small!)
Total weight gain/loss: 15lbs
Stretch marks? still zero so far…I am so hoping since I didn’t get any the first time that with lotion and good genes, I’ll avoid them all together.
Sleep: I haven’t slept well at all this past week, but I think it’s probably half pregnancy related and half “life” related and having the CRAZZZZZZZZY dreams that I am still having doesn’t help either!
Best moment this week: Feeling her move…She absolutely boogied last week and then this week she’s been very still. Too still. So still it made me nervous, so like any other person in the world, I googled for a little while and found out that she is supposed to double her size this week, so maybe she’s too busy growing to be wiggling like she has been.
Miss Anything? Still miss sleeping on my belly…You belly sleepers out there understand that!
Movement: Not nearly enough!
Food cravings: Chocolate…Just plain Hershey bar chocolate this week.
Food aversions: Still not really fond of a salad but everything else is pretty good.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still the same…If I get hungry or thirsty, I have to eat or drink RIGHT THEN or I get super queasy super fast and shake beyond belief.
Gender: Blood test says girl…We’ll see
Labor Signs: None yet, thank goodness!
- like always…. getting up to go to the bathroom allllll night long.
- round ligament pain when I get up too fast.
- this may sound strange, but I don’t feel as “pregnant” this week as I have. During my googling session, I found out that I am also doubling in size this week too, so maybe I don’t feel as tight in my belly or something. Who knows?!
Belly Button in or out? In…it never popped out with Rylnn so we’ll see.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Baby items purchased? Nothing purchased (not buying a stitch of pink until I see an ultrasound) and I think I still have just about everything I need from Rylnn.
I feel so blessed sometimes to be carrying this precious baby that it catches me off guard and (while I know it’s probably just hormones) I tear up, whisper a thank you, and go on feeling on top of the world because God chose me to be this little miracle’s Mama.
