If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile or if you talk to me on a regular basis, you’ve probably heard me talk about my mom’s cooking. I mean, she’s the best cook on the face of the planet, hands down. Ask anybody!
For special occassions (my birthday and Thanksgiving mainly) she makes homemade butterflake rolls and these amazing rolls seriously deserve their own national holiday.
Tonight we will be attending our Sunday School class Thanksgiving party and I volunteered to bring these wonderful homemade butterflake rolls…and no, I’ve never made them before so last night after we put Rylnn to bed, my mom and I had a cooking date where she taught me how to make these spectacular rolls.
One of the main reasons these rolls are so wonderful…They start with three sticks of butter. Seriously.
I was actually pleasantly surprised, they weren’t nearly as hard to make as I thought they would be, there are just a lot of steps so it takes a little time.
Here is what they looked like when I put them in the refrigerator last night. This afternoon, I have to cut them and put them in muffin tins to bake so while I think they are looking fantastic right now, the real test will come in just a few hours!
I can’t wait to see IF they come out okay and then enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with some great friends this evening!
